Diana J. Turner, 54, of Shelbyville, died at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2008.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. David McHenry officiating. Visitation from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday and one hour before services on Sunday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
Diana was born on September 9, 1953 in Shelbyville, Illinois, the daughter of Robert Rodell and Lois Lucille Smith McDonald. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1971 and Lake Land College in Mattoon, Illinois. She was a systems analyst in human resources at ADM in Decatur. She attended Cornerstone Community Fellowship in Shelbyville. She married Jerry L. Turner on April 20, 1974 in Shelbyville.
Surviving are her husband, Jerry; daughter, Michelle Turner of Shelbyville and fiancé Brian Heidel; son, Matthew Turner of Shelbyville; parents, Robert and Lois McDonald of Shelbyville; brother, Richard “Dick” McDonald and wife Tori of Camanche, Iowa; nephew, Andy McDonald and wife Jamie of Shelbyville; nieces, Beth McDonald of Shelbyville and Chloe and Lia McDonald of Camanche, Iowa; and six great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Robert McDonald in 2005; and her grandparents, Roland and Golden McDonald and Gerald and Mary Elizabeth Smith.
She was a loving wife, daughter, and mother, who always took care of everyone else before herself. She always made time for everyone, and she will be sadly missed.
