Jeremy M. Nichols

Jeremy M. Nichols, 30, of Sullivan, died at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2008.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Doug Davis officiating. Visitation from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Findlay Cemetery, Findlay, Illinois. Memorials may be given to the Makalyn and Caden Nichols College Fund.
Jeremy was born on February 13, 1978 in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Michael A. Nichols and Barbara F. Warren. He graduated from Findlay High School in 1997 and Illinois State University in 2002. Jeremy was a police officer for the City of Sullivan Police Department. He was previously a corrections officer for Vermilion County and a part-time police officer for the City of Oakwood. He was a member of the Lake of the Woods Church in Mahomet, Illinois. He was an avid fan of the Illini and the St. Louis Cardinals. He married Amber R. Shuff September 7, 2002.
Surviving are his wife, Amber; daughter, Makalyn Elizabeth Nichols at home; son, Caden Michael Nichols at home; father and step-mother, Mike and Sue Nichols of Bethany; mother, Barb Mowry of Findlay; brothers, Greg Grant of Sullivan and fiancé Cari Rodman, Gary Grant and wife Chrissy of Shelbyville and Zach Nichols of Shelbyville; sister, Marisa Nichols of Shelbyville; step-brothers, Gabe Reynolds of Findlay and Cody Reynolds of Morris; grandparents, Morris and Doris Nichols of Shelbyville; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Jody Shuff of Shelbyville.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lavelle and Dan Warren and Zetta Nichols; and uncle, Ron Warren.
Jeremy was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
