Jean L. Wooters

Jean L. Wooters, 83, of Shelbyville, formerly of Moweaqua, died at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011 in Shelbyville Manor.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua, IL. Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to the Shelbyville Manor Activity Fund.
Jean was born on July 12, 1928 near Assumption, IL, the daughter of Clarence Gregory and Evelyn Marie Reed Matlock. She was a graduate of Moweaqua High School. Jean served as the village clerk and treasurer in Moweaqua for many years. She married Carl J. Wooters, Jr. on May 15, 1948 in Moweaqua, IL. He died on January 8, 2010.
She is survived by her son, Monte Wooters and wife Dana of Paris, TX; brothers, Lyle Matlock and wife Mary and Don Matlock and wife Doris all of Shelbyville; sisters, Lois Sanner and husband Don of Decatur and Judy Burch and husband John of Mt. Zion; and four grandchildren, Benjamin and Evelyn Wooters and Cody and Cole Potter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; brothers, Glenn and Verne Matlock; and sister, Mary Allen.
