David P. Demascal

David Paul Demascal, 50, of Shelbyville, died at 11:45 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013 in Shelby Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL with Father Don Wolford officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Shelby County Honor Guard. The family will meet one hour before services at Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the Shelby Humane Society.
David was born on September 21, 1962 in Taylorville, IL the son of Joseph Edgar and Mary Bernadine McWhorter Demascal. He graduated from Assumption High School in the Class of 1980. David served in the United States Air Force. He was a shuttle driver for Lazer Spot, working out of International Paper in Shelbyville, IL. David was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church and the National Rifle Association. David enjoyed woodworking, motorcycle riding, fishing, camping, hunting, target shooting and playing golf.
He is survived by his brother, Larry Demascal of Shelbyville, IL, Mark Demascal of Assumption, IL and Mike Demascal of Louisiana; and sisters, Monica Demascal of Pana, IL and Suzie Philippi of Moweaqua, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
