Dana C. Rachow, 73, of Tower Hill, IL, died at 8:02 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2009 in Shelby Memorial Hospital.

Following cremation, private family services will be held in Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Greenville, IL. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Dana was born on January 4, 1936 in Coffeen, Illinois, the daughter of Edwin C. and Viola Hill Ruppe. She graduated from Greenville High School in the Class of 1954. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Greenville. She married Daniel T. Rachow in January 1965. He died in October 1982.

Surviving are her daughters, Tracey Potter and husband Mike of Shelbyville, IL, Malia Boozer and husband Ed of Centralia, IL and Kristen Kingery of Mattoon, IL; brother, Donald Ruppe of Sarasota, FL; and grandchildren, Brad Boozer, Alex Boozer, Danielle Potter, Elizabeth Boozer, Hailey Potter and Hunter Potter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Daniel.
