Hazel Marie (Jones) West, 99, of Shelbyville, IL passed away at 7:03 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in Shelbyville Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2020 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Tim Yankee officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Sunday, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the Shelbyville Manor Activity Fund.

Hazel was born on December 29, 1920 in Humeston, Iowa, the daughter of Alva and Maude (Hilliard) Jones. She lived in the suburban area of Chicago until moving to Shelbyville at the age of 16. Hazel was a member of First Christian Church in Shelbyville. She married Forrest Ray West on June 26, 1938. Hazel and Forrest belonged to a square dancing club for many years and were members of the Kaskaskia Kampers. She enjoyed playing Bunco and was a member of a Bunco club for several years.

Hazel is survived by her daughters, Joyce (Ray) Tull of Shelbyville, IL, and Loretta (Dennis) Ritchie of Mt. Zion, IL; grandchildren, Sean Tull of Charlotte, NC, Dawn (Bill) Drake of Charleston, IL, Whitney (Steve) Runge of Decatur, IL, Jill (Chris) Rapier of Champaign, IL, Ericka (Donald) Anderson of Oak Park, IL, and Joshua (Gina) Ritchie of Macon, IL; great grandchildren, Alyssa and Cody Tull, Jeremy, Jessica and Taylor Drake, Morgan Runge, Beau, Emmaline and Elliot Rapier, Isabelle Anderson, Christian Clark, and Dalton Ritchie; great great granddaughter Kennedy Ritchie; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Forrest; sisters, Dorothy (Jones) Creath Gleason and Marge (Jones) Harvey; and granddaughter, Kirsten Ritchie Clark.

Hazel was devoted to her husband and family and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
