Novella “Janine” Furr, 85, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 3:54 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in Shelbyville Manor, Shelbyville, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL, with Rev. Linda Trent officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL.  Memorials may be given to Fourth Street United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.

Janine was born on April 30, 1936 in Mode, IL, the daughter of Eber E. and Maude M. (Campbell) Hagan. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1954. She married Roy Arnold “Arnie” Furr on May 27, 1955, and he preceded her in death on June 3, 2005. She owned and operated Nean’s Crafts in Shelbyville and was a member of the Fourth Street United Methodist Church in Shelbyville.

Janine is survived by her sons, Kendall E Furr of D’Iberville, MS, and Todd A Furr and wife Barb of Kissimmee, FL; sister, Shirley Sloan (Bill) of New Hope, AL; sister-in-law, Bonnie Clark (Dick) of Shelbyville, IL; two grandchildren, Samantha Hummel (Stephen); two step-grandchildren, Stacy Sawitzke (Scott) and Jackie Lynch; one great granddaughter, Whitley Hummel; two step-great grandchildren, Sawyer and Shay Sawitzke; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnie; sister, Loretta Werstlein; and sister-in-law, Nancy Orndorff.
