Charles McKinley Vincent, age 78, of Olney, passed away on May 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on March 8, 1948, in Burkesville, KY, to Paul and Mary Vincent.
Charles was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who never met a stranger. He is survived by his loving wife, Norma Vincent, whose unwavering love and devotion carried him through the last 20 years following his accident. Norma faithfully cared for Charles with strength, compassion, and dedication, standing by his side every step of the way. Their marriage was a true example of enduring love and commitment.
He is also survived by his daughter, Jessica and Rodney Clark; his sons, Chuck and Leann Vincent, Paul and Michelle Vincent, Jeffery Vincent, Mike Vincent, and Mark and Sara Vincent; sister, Rebecca Frye of Shelbyville, IL; brother, Dale Vincent (Debbie) of Hardy, AR; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Charles was a proud union concrete finisher and a true jack of all trades. He later worked as a lead operator at International Paper in Shelbyville, IL. He enjoyed the simple things in life and loved spending time outdoors four-wheeler riding, hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting. He was known for his fun-loving spirit, quick wit, and the phrase many will always remember him by: “Can I say this.”
More than anything, Charles loved his family and enjoyed every opportunity to make others laugh and feel welcome. His strength, hardworking nature, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all of the caregivers who came into Charles’ home over the years. Your kindness, compassion, and care meant so much to Charles and his family and will never be forgotten.
Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing he is at peace in the arms of the Lord. His memory will continue to live on through the stories, laughter, and love he shared throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Elton Vincent; and two granddaughters, Jennifer and Ashley Vincent.
