Donna E. Ogden

Donna Elaine Ogden, 80, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 8:35 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, in Pana Health and Rehabilitation Center, Pana, IL.

Graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, near Assumption, IL, with Pastor Dan Watkins, Jr. officiating. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Mt. Pleasant Church of God.

Donna was born on August 30, 1944, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Grady and Velma (Stephens) Elmore. She graduated from New Berlin High School in the Class of 1963. Donna married Gary Lee Ogden on June 1, 1963, and they had two sons, Dan and David. Donna was the secretary for Main Street School in Shelbyville, IL, for 30 years. She previously worked for Highland’s V&S in Shelbyville. Donna was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of God, near Assumption. She enjoyed scrapbooking, flower gardening, researching family history, caring for others, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Dan Ogden (Terri) of Danville, IN and David Ogden (Sherry) of Shelbyville, IL; sisters, Evelyn Fulton (Bob) of Springfield, IL and Barb Mumaw (Denny) of Chatham, IL; sister-in-law, Mary Elmore of Curran, IL; six grandchildren, Grant, Danielle (Jackson), Jenny (Robert), Ariana (Daniel), Sophie, and Grady; and six great grandchildren, Sawyer, Taitum, Evelyn, Griffin, Zander and Callum.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary Ogden on December 9, 2020; brother, Wes Elmore; and sister, Pat Elmore.
