Elizabeth A. Stremming , 98, of Strasburg, IL, formerly of Dieterich, IL, passed away at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2022 in her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2022 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Strasburg, IL with Rev. Kene Whybrew officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Monday in the church. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Strasburg, IL. Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church for the Bell Tower or donor’s choice. Arrangements are by Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, IL.

Elizabeth was born on October 13, 1924 near Trowbridge, IL, the daughter of Orvel and Cora Edith (Maurer) Latch. She married Floyd Franklin Stremming on November 8, 1942 and he preceded her in death on October 18, 2014. Elizabeth worked at Kuehne Manufacturing Company in Mattoon, IL, the Shoe Factory in Sullivan, IL, the Glove Factory in Effingham, IL and retired from Crossroads Printing Company in Effingham, IL. She enjoyed ceramics, quilting, cross-stitching, crocheting, gardening, cooking, working word puzzles, and playing card games on her iPad. Elizabeth was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Strasburg, IL.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Weiss and husband Jim of Strasburg, IL; daughter-in-law, Lynn Stremming of Jacksonville, IL; sister-in-law, Betty Latch of Neoga, IL; four grandchildren, Thad Stremming and wife Melissa of Jacksonville, IL, Hilary Stremming of Naperville, IL, Corrine Briscoe and husband Caleb of Roodhouse, IL; and Jason Weiss and wife Stacy of Wentzville, MO; six great grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd F. Stremming; son, Gene Stremming on June 30, 2003; four brothers, Dallas, Bill, Dale and Charles Latch; and three sisters, Ella Faye Austin, Mary Edith Baker and Bettie Lou Latch.
