Frances Ilene Williams, 81, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Shelbyville Health Care and Senior Living, Shelbyville, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026, with Rev. Nathan Woolery officiating. Visitation will be from noon – 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Ramsey Cemetery, Ramsey, IL. Memorials may be given to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Shelbyville, IL. Send condolences at www.howeandyockey.com
Frances was born on September 15, 1944, in Mode, IL, the daughter of Rollin and Ruth (Meyerholz) Williams. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1962. Frances began working for the State of Illinois in Springfield. She later worked at Emerson’s and Frazier Signs both in Decatur, IL. Frances retired to Shelbyville, where she was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Frances was an avid fan of NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt and a former member of the Rebekah Lodge and Royal Neighbors of America.
Frances is survived by her nieces and nephews, Mike Williams of Findlay, IL, Chuck Williams (Diane) of Shelbyville, IL, Stan Williams (Virginia) of Shelbyville, IL, Vanessa Baginski (Richard) of Findlay, IL, Ruth Ann Thrasher (Greg) of Moweaqua, IL, and Larry Mueller (Cheryl) of Shelbyville, IL; 24 great nieces and nephews; 29 great great nieces and nephews; and 10 great great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Edward Williams, Sr. (Pauline); sisters, Virginia Williams and Joeann Mueller (Eugene); nephews, John Paul Lovett, Douglas Dennison, Steve Williams, and Jonathan S. Williams; nieces, Cheryl Williams, Gailann Stoltz, Trina Miller, and Jackie Mock; niece-in-law, Judy Williams; and great nephew, Steven Williams.
