Grace Kathleen (Kull) Moffett, 92, formerly of Windsor, IL, passed away at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2025, in Grace Lutheran Church in Strasburg, IL with Pastor Kene Whybrew officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday in the church. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery, Windsor, IL. Memorials may be given to Grace Lutheran Church in Strasburg or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Strasburg, IL.
Grace was born on May 31, 1933, in rural Strasburg, IL, the daughter of Lawrence and Esther (Spannagel) Kull. Grace was baptized on June 25, 1933, and confirmed on June 9, 1946. She was the valedictorian of the Class of 1950 at Windsor High School. Grace married Dwight Moffett on July 29, 1951, and they were blessed with two children, Daryl and Cheryl. Grace served as the Windsor High School Secretary for 30 years. She was a devoted member of Grace Lutheran Church in Strasburg. Grace enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and reading.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Leslie) Storm of Cleveland, SC; daughter-in-law, Cinda (Ed) Held of Strasburg, IL; four grandchildren, Kyle (Heather) Storm of Seneca, SC, Keith (Kayla) Storm of Greer, SC, Caralea (Jared) Smith of Strasburg, IL and Craig (Kara) Moffett of Sullivan, IL; great grandchildren, Chloe and Carsyn Storm of Greer, SC, Jebediah and Colt Storm of Seneca, SC, Reed and Grady Smith both of Strasburg, IL and Charlie, Maverick, Reece, and Everly Moffett all of Sullivan, IL; brothers-in-law, John (Diana) Moffett of Illiopolis, IL and David (Jackie) Moffett of Windsor, IL; step-granddaughters, Dakota (Shawn) Klein and Sadie Hubbard; and step-great grandson, Todd Klein.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Esther Kull; husband, Dwight Moffett on September 23, 2006; son, Daryl Moffett on September 18, 1996; sister, Vivian (Thomas) Moffett; and granddaughter-in-law, Tracy Storm.
