Joshua D. Stinson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joshua Dwight Hudson Stinson. He was born July 20, 1985, in Decatur, IL, at St. Mary’s Hospital, the son of Toby Stinson and Mary Hudson.

Joshua had many adventures in his life. He served in the Navy and traveled to Japan, he rode many trains and had adventures with his friends. Josh settled in Decatur, IL, and loved cooking, spending time with his many friends, and looking after his mother, Mary Hudson Boedecker (Ed) and his brother, Andrew. He brought great joy and love to us and will be deeply missed.

To honor Joshua’s life and wishes, we ask that in lieu of flowers, to please donate to your local food pantries and shelters. If you see an opportunity to give a hand up, hug, or just be there for a fellow friend, always act on it.

Joshua’s family will celebrate his life privately. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.
