Linda L. Bly

Linda Larkin Bly, 80, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 11:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025 in Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Senior Living in Shelbyville, IL.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025, in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Inurnment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL. Memorials may be given to the Shelbyville Festival of Lights. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.

Linda was born on December 12, 1944, in Las Vegas, NV, the daughter of Ivan Smith Larkin and Thora Susie (Evans) Larkin. She was a waitress at Lake Mead Marina in Las Vegas, NV for several years. Linda married William Woodrow “Bill” Bly in 1962. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mattoon, IL. Linda enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting and researching family history.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Bly of Shelbyville, IL: sons, William Bly, Jr. (Tricia) of Las Vegas, NV, Jeff Bly (Shannon) of Las Vegas, NV, Kenny Bly of Shelbyville, IL and Jerry Bly (Tammy) of Shelbyville, IL; daughters, Sherry Bly of Shelbyville, IL and Robin Maultsby of Austin, TX; sisters, Debbie Garland of Las Vegas, NV and Susan Mills of Phoenix, AZ; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Joann Hudson, Jeannine Roque and Pat Cody; and grandson, Kennan Bly.
