Linda K. Decker

Linda Kay (West) Decker, 78, of Mode, IL, passed away at 9:26 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, in St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Casual attire is requested. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Strasburg, IL. Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice or to the family.

Linda was born on April 23, 1947, in Monticello, IL, the daughter of Carlis and Grace Robinson West. She attended Neoga and Cumberland High Schools. Linda married Wayne Edward Decker on November 25, 1989. Linda and Wayne were team drivers for Marvin Keller Trucking in Sullivan, IL. Wayne passed away on November 28, 2021. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, her children, and her grandchildren, as they were her world.

Linda is survived by her children, Joe Price of Mode, Barrett Price of Mode, Teresa Tabbert (Paul) of Stewardson, Tina Hill (Jeff) of Mattoon, and Sherrie Plummer (Jim) of Newton, AL; brother, Bill West of Stewardson; sisters, Patsy Harrington-Jones of Effingham and Nancy Reardon of Stewardson; 18 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren with one more on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne; son, Marlon Price; grandson, Nathan Price; brother, Carlis E. “Baby Gene” West; brothers-in-law, Rick Jones and Cliff Reardon; and sister-in-law, Lisa West.
