Makinsley Veleah Covarrubias

Makinsley Veleah Covarrubias, infant daughter of Keigan and Cheyenne (Underwood) Covarrubias, passed away at 7:41 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, IL.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 25, 2025, in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL, with Pastor Jereme Suey officiating. Memorials may be given to the Sarah Bush Lincoln Foundation for Labor and Delivery Family Care.

Makinsley is survived by her parents, Keigan and Cheyenne; siblings, Freyah Bly, Christopher Bly and Rylee Covarrubias; maternal grandmother, Wilma Welton; maternal great grandmother, Lyn Bowman; maternal aunts, Raven Thompson and Crystal Underwood; paternal grandmother, Velina Covarrubias (Todd Smith); paternal great grandmother, Debbie Meschnark; paternal aunt, Erika Clark; paternal uncles, Vegas Covarrubias, Miguel Covarrubias, Julian Covarrubias, Mike Clark, and Dakota Snyder (Audrey); and paternal cousin, Krista Clark.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert Underwood on January 22, 2015.
