Mary L. Durbin

Mary L. Durbin, 88, of Stewardson, IL, passed away at 6:58 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in her residence.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2025, in Grace Cemetery, Strasburg, IL with Rev. Ron Mulvaney officiating. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Strasburg, IL. Memorials may be given to Transitions Hospice.

Mary was born on September 7, 1937, in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Morris Howard and Goldie Pearl (Himes) Williams. She married Lloyd L. Durbin on January 30, 1955, and they were blessed with three children, Bradley, Brenda and Lori. Mary worked at Continental Bondware in Shelbyville until her retirement. She enjoyed being outside, reading, and caring for her cats. Mary was a member of the Strasburg United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Bradley Wayne Durbin of Strasburg, IL; daughters, Brenda Sue Reynolds (Steve) of Stewardson, IL and Lori Ann Dailey (Kevin) of Windsor, IL: grandchildren, Brooke Lister and Joshua Shirley; great grandchildren, Jennifer, Aiden and Gabe Lister; sisters, Barbara Buesking (Wayne) of Decatur, IL and Geneva Williams of Peoria, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd on May 15, 2022; stepmother, Margaret Maybeth (Sinclair) Williams; and brother, Warren Williams.
