Michael L. Reynolds

Michael Lynn “Moochie” Reynolds, 74, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 1:39 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2025, in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL, with military rites by the Shelby County Honor Guard. Visitation will be from noon – 1:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the Shelby County Honor Guard.

Mike was born on December 24, 1950, in Shelbyville, IL, the son of John Herbert and Margaret Helen (Donaldson) Reynolds. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1968. Mike was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and received the following awards: Silver Star Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Devise, Two Overseas Service Bars, Expert Weapons Qualification Badge and Sharpshooter Qualification Badge. He previously worked in Decatur at ADM. Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Mike is survived by his brothers, Larry Reynolds of Shelbyville and Alan Reynolds (Brenda) of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Kenneth, Phillip, Jim “Rabbit” and David Reynolds; sister, Nancy Robison (Bill); one sister in infancy; and niece, Molly Reynolds.
