Ramona Diane Hazen, 72, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away Wednesday morning, September 10, 2025, in her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Tim Yankee officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Give Kids The World gktw.org.
Ramona was born on April 12, 1953, in Vallejo, CA, the daughter of Floyd and Flora June (DeVore) West. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1971 and then from Lake Land School of Nursing. Ramona was an LPN working in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shelbyville, IL.
She was blessed with two sons, Richard Michael Hazen and Chad Eric Hazen of Effingham, IL. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Olivia of Franklin, TN; brother, Richard West (Brenda) of Mattoon, IL; and sister, Connie Cutler of Shelbyville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
