Rosemary I. Lewis

Rosemary I. Lewis, 73, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 6:38 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.

Private graveside services will be held at Swedish Lutheran Cemetery, near Neoga, IL. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.

Rosemary was born on June 18, 1953, in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Carl and Mary Lois (Osborne) Peterson. She worked for Shelby County Community Services for many years. Rosemary enjoyed spending time with her Community Services family, drawing pictures of horses, and riding her bike. She was affiliated with the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville, IL. She married Bradley W. “Brad” Lewis on June 15, 1985.

She is survived by her husband, Brad; brother, Harold Peterson and wife Pat of Shelbyville, IL: eight nieces and nephews; and 9 great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eugene, Bob and Bill Peterson; and nephew, James Peterson.
