Robert H Trimble

Robert Harland Trimble, 71, of Shelbyville, died at 3:52 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2009 in Shelby Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2009 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. Visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville with military rites by the Shelby County Honor Guard.

Mr. Trimble was born on August 9, 1938 in Shelbyville, Illinois, the son of Roy Harland and Marguerite Virginia Wood Trimble. He was a U. S. Navy veteran. He worked for P & H Manufacturing in Shelbyville, Firestone in Decatur, and then Shelby County Community Services, in Shelbyville, where he was a supervisor for twelve years. Most recently, he was a security guard for Hydro-Gear and Agra-Fab both in Sullivan. He married Wanda L. Severe on October 11, 1967.

Surviving are his wife, Wanda; sons, Robert MacClain Trimble and wife Patricia of Virginia Beach, VA and Joseph Lee Trimble and wife Wendy of Shelbyville; sisters, Sue Hatfield of Still Water, MN and Donna Wildman and husband Steve of Findlay, IL; half-brother, Roy Trimble of New Mexico; half-sister, Billie Jean Trimble of Oklahoma; and four grandchildren, Courtney and Mallory Trimble of Virginia Beach, VA; and Noah and Nathan Trimble of Shelbyville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Theodore Trimble.
