Donna A. Bone

Donna Ann Bone, 58, of Watson, IL, formerly of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024, in her residence, surrounded by her family.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2024 in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Pastor Steven Linton officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Second Hand Rose Resale Shop in Teutopolis, IL.
Donna was born on June 23, 1965, in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Terry Allen and Betty Carol (Wells) McElroy. Donna married Dennis C. Houghton on May 4, 2018. Donna was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing and hosting meals for her family. Donna had a love for all animals. She and Dennis enjoyed their goats, chickens, turkeys, dogs and cats.
Donna is survived by her loving husband, Dennis; sons, Lenny Bone of Watson, IL, Scottie Bone of Edgewood, IL, and Robert Bone, Jr. of Watson, IL; sister, Carol Sue Hicks (Randy) of Cowden, IL; brother, Terry Allen McElroy Jr. (Vickie) of Beecher City, IL; and twelve grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Terry McElroy; mother, Betty Markle; one brother, Davy McElroy; and one sister, Paulette Garmon.
