Lori Lee Kircher

Lori Lee Kircher, 60, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 10:26 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024, in HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital, Shelbyville, IL.
Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2024, in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home, with her father, Ron Newman officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Sarah Bush Lincoln Regional Cancer Center or to the Education Fund for Lori Kircher’s Grandchildren.
Lori was born on July 19, 1963, in Pana, IL, the daughter of Ronald Wayne and Carolyn Sue (Warren) Newman. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1981 and then from the Dorothy Chrysler School of Beauty Culture in Effingham. Lori owned and operated Lori’s Hair Designs in Shelbyville. She married Lowell Dean Kircher on April 25, 1987. Outside of work, Lori had a zest for life and enjoyed camping, the outdoors and taking on DIY projects to beautify her home. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and five beloved granddaughters. Lori will be remembered as the middle child of three siblings, always sharing a special bond with her older sister, Vicki, and her brother, Doug. She was a loyal and caring individual who put others’ needs before her own, ensuring everyone around her was cared for. Her fun-loving personality, great laugh and kind heart made her a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Lori’s legacy of love, kindness and dedication to her family will forever be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
Lori is survived by her loving husband, Lowell; daughter, Megan Howell (Shane) of Shelbyville, IL; son, Shane Kircher (Taylor) of Shelbyville, IL; granddaughters, Makenna Poe, Maycee Howell, Marley Dean Howell, Madalynn Howell and Laniee Mae Kircher; parents, Ron and Carolyn Newman of Shelbyville, IL; sister, Vicki Piper of Kissimmee, FL; brother, Doug Newman (Georgia) of Moweaqua, IL; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; special friend, Nikki Tucker of Shelbyville, IL: and many close friends who were faithfully by her side.
Lori was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alvah and Wilma Rozella Kircher; maternal grandmother, Alvena Scott; and her paternal grandparents, Wayne and Doris Newman.
