Irma K. Haveman, 96, of Shelbyville, died at 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2006 in her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2006, in Richland Cemetery, Strasburg with Rev. Lee Lovett officiating. Howe & Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church of Shelbyville.

Mrs. Haveman was born on July 8, 1909 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, the daughter of Will and Carrie Fling Doty. She graduated from Windsor High School and Sparks Business College in Shelbyville. She was a self-employed secretary. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Shelbyville. She married Harry Frank Haveman on May 20, 1947 in Chicago. He died on September 29, 1985.

Surviving are her four cousins, Rosalie Kearney of Decatur, Ramona Klonder of Decatur, Lois Buino of Chicago and Robert Price of Midland, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, Clair Doty.
